MOUNTING THE GUARD
DISC AND SIDE HANDLE
Before mounting the disc guard and side handle, remove the disc, if any, and follow the instruc-
tions listed below, considering gure A.

WARNING
Before plugging the tool, verify that the switch is in the o mode. Check the type of switch your
machine has (slide or trigger with safety lock) and follow the instructions for your model.
Slide switch
To turn on your grinder, slide the drive switch forward.
To turn o your tool, simply slide the drive switch back. Trigger switch with safety lock to turn
on your grinder, rst press the safety lock and then pull the trigger.
To turn o your tool, simply release the drive switch.
USE TIPS
WARNING
To avoid injury, never use the abrasive disc without the guard in place.
Hold your angle grinder rmly with one hand around the side handle and the other around the
machine body, so you have complete control at all times. The starting torque creates sudden
vibration.
Always position the guard so that anything that may come o the disc points away from you.
After starting the machine, apply the abrasive disc to the workpiece.
