Joining the leaf collector to the MT Tumbler 500 MED
The leaf collector selected has its own manual. Review the manual for the
assembly instructions.
To connect the aspirator to the MT Tumbler 500/500 MED, place the aspira-
tion tube in the machine, as shown in the illustration, and secure it with the
help of the fixing clamps.
Checks to be carried out before connecting
+
Make sure that the top protector and the side protector are properly closed.
+
Check that the suction tube is correctly positioned and fixed.
+
Make sure that the barrel is correctly positioned and the blades are properly adjusted.
+
Check that the "Emergency stop" is in the correct position.
Connecting the Tumbler
Once you have read and understood this use and maintenance manual, and carried out all the necessary steps, you can
connect the MT Tumbler 500/500 MED machine to the power supply and press the ON button to turn it on.
Condition of the raw material
The condition of the raw material to be processed is very important. The MT Tumbler 500/500 MED have been designed to
handle most varieties and are capable of processing large amounts. Even so, attention must be paid to the use of the machi-
nes and the conditions of the raw materials.
The MT Tumbler 500 MED has been designed to work with wet or dry flowers (11-13% moisture content). If you want to trim
dry flowers, you must fit a specific barrel. Contact our commercial department if you want to trim dry.
Preparation of the raw material
It is very important to separate the flowers from the branches. If you want to trim fresh, remove the largest leaves before
introducing the branches into the MT Tumbler 500/500 MED. Work can be streamlined and optimized with the help of the MT
Standard. Ask the commercial department of Master Products for more information.
Large leaves accumulate dirt in the MT Tumbler 500 MED, reducing the performance and quality of the cutting. Removing
excess material helps to achieve a quality final product and increase productivity.
When trimming dry plants, leaves tend to wrap the flower, reducing the chances that the leaves will be cut by the blade. It's
very important to always use the trimmer within the recommended humidity range (11-13%) to achieve a quality final
product and high production yield
How to use the machine
Take the following aspects into account before use:
+
Inclination
+
Loading speed
+
The time that the flower will remain in the barrel
+
Aspiration
Master Products recommends placing the MT Tumbler on a flat, smooth surface. With a loading time of about one
handful of flowers every 30 seconds* and a barrel time of 30-45 seconds. When a new handful of flowers is inserted,
they will force the release of the already processed flowers inside the barrel. If the flowers do not pass properly throu-
gh the machine, open the cover to reduce the suction power and/or tilt the machine gently to facilitate the output of
the flowers.
The loading rate will vary depending on the conditions of your material, machine condition, cutting adjustment and aspirator maintenance/status..
