Safety Device
The Tumbler 500 MED is equipped with an "emergency stop" button and a safety device, called a motor protection
circuit breaker. This is activated when the motor responsible for turning the reel of blades overheats. If this situation
occurs, the motor shuts down automatically, making it necessary to reset the motor protection circuit breaker so that
the equipment can be switched on again.
What can cause this situation to arise?
The presence of resinous product residues on the rotary reel blades and the fixed counter blade.

Excessive tightening or advancement of the counter blade.

What can be done to avoid and resolve this situation?
Cleaning the reel blades and the counter blade.

This operation is necessary when motor overheating is due to the presence of resinous product residues. Con-

Counter blade readjustment.

This operation is necessary when engine overheating is due to excessive tightening or advancement of the fixed
counter blade. Consult the section "Adjusting the height of the blades", on page 23 of this manual, where you will
find all the necessary steps to follow.

Switching on the equipment
Once the above measures have been carried out, it is necessary to follow the steps detailed below in order to restart
the equipment after a shut down due to the actuation of the motor protection circuit breaker device.
Turn off the leaf collector and tumbler by pressing the

OFF buttons and disconnect both from the power
supply.
With the help of an Allen key (F) remove the side

protection as indicated in the image.
Remove the hopper (B) by loosening the stainless

steel fasteners (E).
Allow the motor to cool for a few minutes by

natural ventilation. Failure to do this could
cause the machine to stop automatically
again.
