3-3 ADJUSTING THE SPEED

The selection of the feeding speed for
the power feeder rolls closely depends
on the following information:
- type of machine tool (spindle
moulder, thicknesser planer, circular
saw)
- tecnical specifications of the
machine tool and its ratings
- speed of the tool
- diameter of the tool
- number of cutting edges
- quality of cutting edges
- hardness of the material to be removed.
- thickness of the material to be removed
- finishing surface of the feedstock
- surface of the material to be dragged
- hardness of the rubber roll
WARNING
The speed must be selected by a
skilled operator.

This power feeder model provides the
use of 8 speeds following the set-up
instruction below (see Fig.15).
1) Altering the revolutions of the
electric motor controlled by switch
(1 or 2).
2) Changing gear using the gear
change handle C (choose Gear I or
Gear II).

follows:

1) Disconnected the power feeder
from the mains by removing its plug
from the electric socket.
2) Open the side door by unscrewing
the locking screw. Unscrew the
locking screws and exchange the
gears A and B .
3) Tighten the gear nuts and shut the
side door.

When this operation in over, make
sure the guard has been properly
tightened.
