- Infant
up to 7 kg
- Child
7–30 kg
- Adult
greater than 30 kg Volume: 1800 ml

without a pressure relief valve).
The resuscitation bag is also available as a set with mask and reservoir bag.
FIELD OF APPLICATION
The resuscitation bag is intended for patients who require resuscitation or temporary breathing support. Ventila-
tion can be performed with air, or with oxygen if required.
SAFETy INFORmATION
- Read and follow the instructions for use carefully before using the product.
- The product may only be used by medical personnel.
- Insufficient ventilation (airflow) can lead to permanent brain damage in patients.
- Before use, the products must be inspected visually for damages (cracks, breakage, etc.) and must be sub-
jected to a functional check (see section "Functional check").
- If ventilation is not possible with this product, another adequate type of ventilation must be initiated.
- It is not permitted to use the resuscitation bag in toxic atmospheres. Furthermore, make sure not to use the
resuscitation bag with oxygen supply near smoke or open flame as this may cause fire.
- The product is intended for single use and must not be reprocessed. Reprocessing influences the function
of the product. Any reuse entails a potential risk of cross-contamination.
- Avoid contact with oils or lubricants, since this can cause damage to the material.
FUNCTIONAL CHECK
Before use, the products must be inspected visually for damages (cracks, breakage, etc.) and must be subjected
to a functional check:
With pressure relief valve
1a) Close pressure relief valve. Attach a rebreathing bag (infants and children, 500 ml; adults, 1500 ml) to the
non-rebreathing valve. Compress and release the resuscitation bag repeatedly, checking that the rebreath-
ing bag fills. With continued ventilation, the filling and emptying of the rebreathing bag must be observed.
1b) Leak test: remove the rebreathing bag. Close the non-rebreathing valve with
your thumb and firmly compress the resuscitation bag with closed pressure relief
valve. There must be no escape of air. Then open the pressure relief valve and
repeat the previous leak test. The pressure relief valve must open and cause the
pressure to drop.
