Product description
3.1
Intended use
The PSC 2 is designed for the following applications:
R
Securing of working pits for truck and bus brake
testers (hazard potential category 2, performance
level "d" as per EN ISO 13849-1).

The PSC 2 has been checked and approved for the
securing of roller testers for trucks and buses as per
BGR 157 "Vehicle maintenance" by the German employ-
ers' liability insurance association.
The PSC 2 meets the "Safety regulations for non-con-
tacting protective devices on power-driven installations"
(ZH 1/597).
Note the following prerequisites for proper use:
R
Read and observe all the documents accompanying
the PSC 2.
R
Ensure compliance with the technical data for the
PSC 2 and all its components.
R
Always heed the safety instructions when performing
work.
R
Only operate the PSC 2 in the proper manner.
R
Perform safety inspections in due time.
Any application beyond the scope of these specifica-
tions does not constitute the intended purpose and
could result in serious personal injury or property da-
mage. The manufacturer cannot accept any liability for
injury or damage arising from such usage.

Safe operation of the PSC 2 cannot be gua-
ranteed for applications not conforming to
the intended purpose.

The PSC 2 must only be employed for the
intended purpose.
¶
The user is not authorized to convert or
modify the PSC 2. The PSC 2 is to be re-
turned to the manufacturer for repairs.
¶
Work on the electrical system is only to be
performed by authorized customer service
engineers.
¶
The PSC 2 is never to be exposed to flam-
mable or explosive gases.
¶
Never perform any work involving spark
formation (e.g. welding) in the vicinity of
the PSC 2.
