Fasten all Velcro straps before washing to avoid damage. Wash

If handled and cared for correctly, the product is practically
maintenance-free.
Assembly and tting instructions
The RhizoLoc is supplied in an anatomically contoured state. If
necessary, the RhizoLoc can be contoured further. The orthosis
is available in right- and left-handed designs.
Technical speci cations / parameters, accessories
The RhizoLoc is a stabilizing orthosis for the thumb. There are
no spare parts available.
Notes on reuse
The RhizoLoc is intended for your treatment only. It has been
adapted speci cally for you. For this reason, do not pass the
RhizoLoc on to other people.
Warranty
Warranty is provided in accordance with the statutory provisions
as well as the terms of supply and contractual terms of
Bauerfeind AG (AGB), as long as all the points mentioned in
these instructions are observed.

General notes
• Check the optimal and individual t of the RhizoLoc after the
rst tting. Make corrections if necessary.
• Practice the correct procedure for putting on the orthosis
with the patient.
• The product must not be changed in any improper way.
Failure to comply with this requirement may adversely affect
product performance, thereby voiding any product liability.
• The RhizoLoc is intended for the treatment of one patient
only.
The aluminum stays are anatomically contoured, but they
may still need to be individually adjusted to suit the patient's
anatomy. To do this, apply a little force to contour the aluminum
stays into the anatomically correct form.
The thumb tab to limit the thumb basal joint must be rmly
strapped in and under tension when treatment begins and must
contain no folds. It is the physician's responsibility to adjust the
level of restriction of movement of the thumb.
