Device description
Installation
•
The device may only be installed by a qualified specialist.
•
The installation must ensure that
- no (warm air) back pressure arises.
- the device is not exposed to the flow of hot air from another device.
•
The device must be protected against vibrations and shocks.
•
For installation dimensions in mm, see page 3, 4
• The position of the device must be checked after 24 hours of continuous operation while it is hot and readjusted
if necessary. Only hold device with temperature-resistant gloves.
Air supply
• Suitable blowers must be used for the air supply (ensure that the direction of rotation is correct).
• In order to protect the heating element, the prescribed minimum air volume must be maintained without fail under
all circumstances and the maximum temperature (hottest point measured 3 mm in front of the heating element
pipe) must not be exceeded under any circumstances (see technical data). If the minimum air volume is no longer
present, then the heating power must be interrupted at once.
• The sealing unit may only be supplied with air up to max. 80°C / 176°F.
• Note the direction of air flow.
• Use Leister stainless steel filters when there is dust in the air. These can be pushed onto the blower flange. In
cases of particularly critical dust (e.g., metal dust, electrically conductive or moist dust), special filters must be
used in order to avoid short circuits in the device.
• Only use temperature-resistant hoses.
Connection
• The air heater must be connected by a qualified specialist.
• A suitable mechanism for disconnecting all poles from the power supply with a contact space of 3 mm must be
present in the power supply cord.
• The power supply cord must have the corresponding conductor cross-section and be professionally connected.
• The device must be connected in accordance with the wiring diagram on page 5 of the operating instructions.
• Only the installed temperature-resistant special cord must be used for the electrical connection.
• Care must be taken to ensure that the placement of the power supply cord ensures that it is protected against
mechanical stresses.
• It must be ensured that the connection cords have no contact with the heating element pipe and that they are not
exposed to the jet of hot air.
• Connect the air heater to the power supply.
• Care must be taken to ensure that the hot air can flow out freely, as otherwise the device could suffer damage
from warm air back pressure (danger of fire).
• Caution: Minimum air volume and maximum air temperature pursuant to the technical data must be maintained.
• Switch on the power supply.
• Allow device to cool down after heating operation.

Caution
Always operate the device with air supply.
Always allow the device to cool down sufficiently after operation.
After cooling down the device can contain residual heat.
