Maintenance
• Disconnect the Espresso mobile from the power supply before cleaning.
• Clean the appliance using a damp cloth (dampen with water only). Do not clean the
«Espresso mobile» in the dishwasher.
• Do not immerse the Espresso mobile in water. The filter holder can be rinsed under
running water and left to dry.
• Clean the mesh on the filter holder regularly using the brush supplied.
• Descale the appliance regularly (every two months or after every 100 coffee
preparations) to maintain the appliance's performance and service life. Use a suitable
product to descale the Espresso mobile. Read the instructions on the descaler for the
correct amount to use and the application time. Rinse the appliance five or six times with
water. Repeat the process if necessary.
• The filter holder will not open
The Espresso mobile operates at a pressure of approximately 19 bar. To prevent the risk
of injury or damage to the product, a safety device stops the filter holder being opened
while the appliance is pressurised.
The appliance is still pressurised if the red safety indicator is visible. To open the filter
holder, press the «STOP» button until the safety indicator disappears.
• The appliance will not start
Ensure that the plug for the 12-V socket (cigarette lighter) is firmly inserted in the
socket. The indicator on the plug and the display light up when the appliance is connected
correctly.
• When I press the «Espresso» button, the appliance motor starts but no coffee comes
out
Ensure that the «Espresso» button is fully pressed in. Some capsules take longer to open
than others. If nothing happens after a few seconds, press the «STOP» button until the
red safety indicator disappears, disconnect the appliance from the power supply, remove
the capsule and try again with a different capsule.
• When I press the «Espresso» button, the appliance motor does not start
a) Ensure that the «Espresso» button is fully pressed in.
b) Check that the plug is connected to the cigarette lighter correctly and that the display
lights up. Otherwise, press the «STOP» button, disconnect the appliance from the
power supply and remove the capsule. Reconnect the appliance and try again with a new
capsule.
• Water drips out of the filter holder during the brewing process
a) Check that there is a capsule seal in the capsule holder and that it is inserted correctly.
b) Ensure you close the filter holder correctly; the lock indicators (white lines) must be
aligned (see step 7 of the operating instructions).
• The espresso is cold
Before turning the appliance over and pressing the «Espresso» button, wait until you
hear the three bleeps twice and the display indicates that you can press the «Espresso»
button.
• The water fill level indicator is not working, even though I have filled the appliance
correctly.
If the fill level indicator does not work, use water with a higher mineral content (total
dissolved solids > 50 mg/l).
