Installation and operating instuctions
1. Application
The Flamco Clean can be used in heating/cooling systems (with glycol-based additives, maximum
50%).
Flamco Clean (10 bar, 16 bar DN50 - 65) is in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive
2014/68/EU.
A declaration of conformity is available from Flamco on request.

2. Safety
Minimum / maximum system temperature –10 °C - see label.
Minimum system pressure at the Flamco Clean 0.2 bar.
See the label for the maximum permissible working pressure.
Maximum fl ow velocity through the Flamco Clean 1.5 m/s.
3. Construction/Installation
Do not install the product above a suspended ceiling or in the vicinity of electronic devices!
Install the Flamco Clean in a dry location not susceptible to frost which is easily accessible for
maintenance purposes.
Install the Flamco Clean directly before the boiler, in the return pipe, ideally before the circulation
pump (fi g. 1).
Make sure installation is performed by qualifi ed personnel only.
Local legislation & guidelines must be observed at all times.
Flush the installation thoroughly before fi tting the Flamco Clean.
The Flamco Clean must be fi tted vertically (fi g. 2).
In order to promote good blowing down, we recommend fi tting valves before and after the
Flamco Clean (fi g. 3).
4. Maintenance/service
The Flamco Clean must be visually inspected regularly. Dirt that collects in the Flamco Clean's dirt
trap can be fl ushed out using the drain cock (fi g. 3). Only fl ush when the system has been
de-pressurized and has cooled down. On types DN 50 - 600, stubborn dirt can be loosened by
turning the tap anticlockwise (fi g. 3). Servicing may only be carried out when the system has been
de-pressurized and has cooled down. Never use the drain cock for fi lling (fi g. 4).
5. Removal
De-pressurize the system and remove the Flamco Clean from the system.
Local legislation must be adhered to when disposing of the Flamco Clean.
