Installing the fireplace insert
WarninG: The electric fireplace insert can
be used with existing fireplace screens.
Due to the heat produced from the electric
fireplace insert heater, existing fireplace
screens must provide adequate airflow in
front of the electric fireplace insert. Do not use
existing fireplace doors that close, sealing off
the electric fireplace insert from the room. If
installed behind bi-fold doors, the doors must
be open to allow the heat to be exhausted.
□ Make sure the electric fireplace insert power is
off. See the Operation section of this manual.
Plug the electric fireplace insert into the outlet
and slide the unit into the existing fireplace.
□ Push the insert into the fireplace and center
it within the opening. Adjust 1 or all of the 4
leveling feet (G) on the bottom of the insert to
make sure that your electric fireplace insert is
level within the fireplace opening.

Operation
1
This firebox insert features a manual control (B) that
allows you to separately control the flame effect and the
heating settings. The manual control (B) allows you to
operate the unit in two different ways:
□ As a full-featured fireplace insert with both the flame
effect and heater operating simultaneously.
□ As a visual effect with the flame effect only.
To operate the firebox insert using the manual
control (B):
□ To turn the flame effect on and off, use the Main On/
Off switch (1). This switch also supplies power to
the heating switches (2 and 3). When this switch is
in the On position the flame effect operates without
heat.
□ To turn the heating element and fan on low, place
the Low Heat switch (2) to the On position.
□ To turn the heating element and fan on
high, place the Low Heat switch (2) and the
High Heat Switch (3) to the On position.
