5.2 Bridge/half−wave rectifiers (option)

Bridge/half−wave rectifiers are used for the supply of electromagnetic spring−applied DC
brakes which have been released for operation with such rectifiers. Any other use is only
permitted with the explicit written approval of INTORQ.
After a defined overexcitation time, the bridge/half−wave rectifiers change from bridge
rectification to half−wave rectification. Depending on the dimensioning of the load, the
switching performance can thus be improved or the power can be derated.

Switch−on
K2/K4 must be switched before or at the same time as K1/K3!

Switch−off
Normal − AC switching
|
– K2/K4 remain closed
– K1/K3 open
Emergency stop − DC switching
|
– K1/K3 and K2/K4 are opened at the same time
