1. Sit on the operator's seat.
2. Apply the parking brake (08/1, position A).
3. Start the engine, and let it run at maximum
rpm.
4. Engage the mower mechanism by pushing in
button (07/5) on the dashboard.
5. Lift the empty grass catcher slightly, or press
the opening switch.
ADVICE
The engine must switch off.
DRIVING AND MOWING USING THE
RIDE-ON MOWER
WARNING!
Dangers exist due to inadequate
knowledge of the ride-on mower.
Read the instructions for use carefully
before you start! Pay particular atten-
tion to all safety instructions! Carry out
all assembly and start-up work conscien-
tiously. Ask the manufacturer if you have
any doubts!
Fundamental preparatory measures
Always wear tough shoes and long trousers
while mowing. Never mow barefoot or when
wearing open sandals.
Check all of the area on which the lawn tractor
will be used and remove any stones, sticks,
wires, bones and other foreign objects that
could be picked up and thrown out. Also pay
attention to foreign objects during mowing.
Carry out all the work described in the "Start-
up" section. This applies in particular to che-
cking the safety devices.
Objects must not be transported on the ride-
on mower, in or on the grass sack.
Use of accessories
WARNING!
Danger due to incorrect accessories
or incorrect use of accessories!
Always use genuine accessories from
the manufacturer. Pay attention to the re-
gulations on use in the supplied opera-
ting instructions!
Using unauthorised accessories, or using access-
ories incorrectly, can expose the operator and
other persons to significant risks. The ride-on mo-

wer could become overloaded. This can lead to
serious accidents.
Pushing the ride-on mower
CAUTION!
Danger when pushing on slopes!
Only push the lawn tractor on flat ground!
On slopes, the lawn tractor could roll
downhill uncontrollably.
For pushing the ride-on mower, the hydrostatic
function must be disabled.
CAUTION!
Risk of material damage.
If the lever is actuated while the en-
gine is running, the hydrostatic trans-
mission may be damaged, and the
ride-on mower may roll away.
Actuate the lever for the hydrostatic
transmission only when the engine is
stopped and the parking brake is app-
lied.
Proceed as follows:
1. Drive the ride-on mower to a level surface,
and stop it.
2. Remove the ignition key, and apply the par-
king brake.
3. Pull lever (01/1) out to block and release the
hydrostatic transmission (next to the left rear
wheel). The hydrostatic transmission is not in
operation.
4. Release the parking brake (08/1, position B).
5. Push the ride-on mower to the desired loca-
tion.
6. Press the lever in again.
7. Apply the parking brake again (08/1, position
A).
Starting and stopping the engine
Before starting
1. Open the fuel cock (18/1). It is located next to
the left rear wheel.
2. Do not touch the drive pedals (09/1, 09/2).
3. Engage the mower mechanism by pushing
out button (07/5) on the dashboard.
4. Apply the parking brake (08/1).
ADVICE
All safety conditions must be met for the
engine to start. If starting is not possible,
refer to the section "Troubleshooting".
