4. Lowering the ride-on mower:
a) Remove the safety supports.
b) Lower the ride-on mower carefully by let-
ting down the jack.
Checking and adjusting the height of the mo-
wer mechanism (13).
In order to ensure an even cut and clean collection
of the grass, the height of the mower mechanism
above the surface must be set correctly. This is
achieved by setting the tyre pressure correctly.
Checking the height of the mower
mechanism
1. Drive the ride-on mower to a level surface.
2. At the front of the mower mechanism, mea-
sure (on the right and the left side of the ve-
hicle) whether the lower edge of the mower
mechanism is 20 mm above the surface (13).
3. At the rear of the mower mechanism, mea-
sure (on the right and the left side of the ve-
hicle) whether the lower edge of the mower
mechanism is 25 mm above the surface (13).
4. If the mower mechanism heights deviate from
the dimensions given above: Ensure that the
tyres are at their correct pressures (see sec-
tion "Checking tyre pressure and pumping
with air").
Oil change (14, 15)
Spent oil must be drained off and replaced by new
oil. The oil change interval is stated in the instruc-
tions of the engine manufacturer.
Draining and disposing of the oil.
1. Position the ride-on mower on an even and
firm surface, and remove the ignition key.
2. Place a drainage container for the oil under
the ride-on mower.
3. Bend the drain hose downwards so that the
end of the drain hose is located over the drai-
nage container.
4. Unscrew the cap (15/2). The oil runs into the
drainage container.
5. Wait until no more oil drains out.
ADVICE
If the oil is warm after running the en-
gine, it is easier to drain.

6. Dispose of the spent oil as per applicable en-
vironmental regulations.
CAUTION!
Danger of environmental damage!
If the spent oil is disposed of
in the environment illegally or in
household waste, severe environ-
mental damage results.
Dispose of the spent oil as per ap-
plicable environmental regulations.
You must hand in the spent oil in
a sealed container to an authorised
disposal point. Do not dispose of
spent oil as normal waste or run it
down the sink, or pour it into the
ground into the drainage system.
Filling with oil
1. Fold up the driver's seat vertically.
2. Remove the plastic cover (14/2).
3. Then open the cap (14/1) with its dipstick, and
pull out the dipstick.
4. Pour about 1.4 litres of engine oil through the
opening into the engine casing.
Checking the oil level
1. Position the ride-on mower on an even and
firm surface, and remove the ignition key.
2. Wait for approx. 1 hour to allow the oil to drain
into the bottom of the casing. Only then is a
reliable measurement of the oil level possible.
3. Fold up the driver's seat vertically.
4. Remove the plastic cover (14/2).
5. Then open the cap (14/1) with its dipstick, and
pull out the dipstick.
6. Check on the dipstick whether the limit of
wetting by oil is between the MIN and MAX
marks.
7. If the oil level is below the MIN mark: Top up
with oil.
