4.13 Install the latest firmware
1. Install the latest software version on the analyzer. Refer to the operations manual for the
procedure.
2. Install the latest HART module firmware. Refer to the operations manual for the procedure.
4.14 Install the HART device description files
Download the HART device description (DD) files for the instrument and install them on the HART
receiving device as follows:
1. Go to http://www.hartcommproduct.com/inventory2/index.php?action=list.
2. In the "Browse by Member" box, select HACH LANGE GmbH, then click GO.
3. Click the link for NAx600sc Sodium.
4. Click "Download DD Files".
5. Enter the information requested, then click GO.
6. When an email with the device description files is received, copy the device description files to
the correct folder on the HART receiving device. Refer to the documentation of the HART
receiving device for instructions.
If an email with the device description files is not received, go to
https://support.fieldcommgroup.org. Click "New support ticket" and request the device description
files.
Section 5 Configuration
Configure the HART module as follows:
1. Push menu, then select SETUP SYSTEM > SETUP NETWORK.
2. Select EDIT NAME and enter a name for the module.
3. Select an output (A, B, C).
Note: Only outputs A and B can be configured for HART communications.
