Before You Begin

IMPORTANT! This instruction provides installation information for
two faucet models. Be sure to follow the steps that apply to your
installation.
Please read all instructions before you begin.
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Shut off the main water supply.
The K-1099 uses two valves, one for the bath fill, and another for
the shower. Pay special attention to this feature when planning
your site preparation.
Avoid excessive heat if you solder connections to prevent damage
to the fitting.
Flush all piping thoroughly before installing the valve(s).
Do not force the handle(s) in any direction. To turn the valve off,
gently turn it to the "Off" position.
For the K-1099, do not use any plastic pipe between the valve and
the spout.
