Chain sprocket
The load on the chain sprocket is particularly intense.
Regularly check the teeth of the chain sprocket for wear
or damage.
Clean the chain sprocket and the attachment of the guide
rail using a brush.
A worn or damaged chain sprocket reduces the
service life of the saw chain, and so the chain
sprocket should be renewed without delay by the
customer service.
Hedge trimmer attachment
Check the hedge trimmer for wear after each use;
in particular, check the sliding play of the cutting
device.
Adjusting the cutting device
Readjust the sliding play if
The cut material jams between the blades,
The play has increased due to normal wear and tear
on the cutting device after lengthy use.
In order to achieve good cutting results, it is necessary
to set the sliding play between the blades and the bar
correctly.
1. Unscrew the nuts on the top side of the cutting device
(11-2).
2. Lightly tighten the screws on the underside (11-3)
3. Turn the screws back anticlockwise by a quarter to
half a turn.
4. Secure the screws with the screwdriver and tighten
the nuts.
The sliding play is set correctly if the washer under
the screw head can still be turned easily to and fro
by hand.
5. Lubricate the cutting device with environmentally
friendly lubricating oil.
excessive heat generation, and thus damage to
the machine.

hours at the three grease nipples (18) using
environmentally friendly grease.
