6. ASSEMBLY OF THE
HYDRAULIC ACCUMULATOR
NOTICE
Safety precautions according to section 2. must be
observed.
The lubricant used must be appropriate to the application.
– The internal surface of the accumulator shell (1) must be
thoroughly oiled or sprayed with the intended operating
medium to ensure easy insertion of the bladder (2).
– The interior of the accumulator shell (1) must be free of
foreign bodies and contaminants.
The opening on the oil side (sealing surface) must not be
damaged (e.g. scratches, corrosion).
The following instructions must be carried out when using a
spare bladder.
NOTICE
An appropriate tool (table "TOOLS") must be used to
remove the gas valve insert (3).
– When using a spare bladder, the following parts must be
removed:
protective cap (6), seal cap (5), O-ring (7), lock nut (4),
gas valve insert (3).
– Press the bladder (2) to expel all the air through the gas
valve, using suction if possible.
– Lubricate the bladder (2) with the intended operating
medium.
NOTICE
While the bladder (2) is being inserted, it must be
completely taut.
It must on no account be twisted.
– Insert the bladder (2) into the accumulator shell (1) as
shown in the picture, using a tool if necessary (table
"TOOLS").
– Screw lock nut (4) loosely onto the gas valve to prevent
the bladder (2) from falling back into the accumulator shell
(1).
– The following tasks must be carried out on the fluid side.
– Place the oil valve (9-13) in the accumulator shell (1). The
bladder (2) must not be folded over in any way.
– Fold the anti-extrusion ring (14) just enough to insert it
into the fluid-side opening.
– Push the anti-extrusion ring (14) into the accumulator shell
(1) and onto the oil valve (9-13).
– Pull out the oil valve (9-13), this positions the anti-
extrusion ring (14) correctly.
