Removing/Changing the Filters
CAUTION: DISCONNECT FROM POWER SUPPLY BEFORE SERVICING
Do not attempt to wash either the odor absorbing pre-filter or the HEPA filter. They
are not washable and washing will damage the filters.
The only two parts requiring any service on your air purifier are the odor absorbing pre-
filter and the HEPA filter. No tools are needed.
Based on your personal environment, you may need to clean or replace your filters more
or less frequently than the indicator light suggests.
For proper maintenance you should vacuum your air purifier at least 1 time/year to
remove the build-up of dust. Your air purifier uses the replacement filters listed in the
Accessories and Replacement Filter section.
To remove or change either filter, disassemble the unit as described below:
1. Turn off the air purifier and disconnect from power
supply.
2. Loosen the locking mechanism by turning it
counterclockwise and remove the endcap from the
unit (Fig. 8).
3. Remove the HEPA filter and activated odor
absorbing pre-filter from the base assembly (Fig. 9).
4. Remove the fasteners from the odor reducing
pre-filter and remove it from the HEPA filter
cartridge (Fig. 10).
5. Replace the odor absorbing pre-filter as needed.
Clean the HEPA filter as necessary.
6. Wrap the odor absorbing pre-filter around the HEPA
filter cartridge and secure it with the fasteners
provided.
Reassemble your Honeywell air purifier as described below:
1. Place the whole filter assembly into the internal chamber.
2. Replace the endcap onto the unit.
3. Reattach the locking mechanism and turn it clockwise until securely tightened.
4. Plug into a wall outlet.
5. Turn unit ON and RESET the Intelli-check™ Filter Indicator Light by pressing the filter
reset button for 2 seconds (Fig. 11).
