Your device comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a
replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the device repaired or replaced if the device fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure
does not amount to a major failure. In addition to all applicable guarantees, Google offers this Limited Warranty.
If you purchased your device in ​ N ew Zealand ​ , the following applies to your device:
If you are entitled to the benefit of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA), your device comes with guarantees that
cannot be excluded under the New Zealand Consumer Law. Where these guarantees operate and the problem with the
device cannot be fixed or is of "substantial character" within the meaning of the CGA, then you are entitled to a
replacement or refund or compensation for any drop in the value of the device. In addition to these remedies you may
claim for any reasonably foreseeable loss (other than loss or damage through reduction of value of the goods) that
results from the initial problem. If the problem with the device can be fixed, then you may either be entitled to have
device repaired or replaced or, in certain circumstances, the purchases price of device refunded. In addition to any
applicable guarantees, Google offers this Limited Warranty.
If you purchased your device in Australia or New Zealand, here's where we tell you what's covered in your warranty and
what's not - good stuff, and important too. Don't worry, we'll make this as fast and enjoyable as possible.
Use it as any normal human being would.
Google warrants your device against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use in accordance with
Google's published user documentation for one year from the date that you bought it, in its original packaging, from
Google or its authorised reseller ("Limited Warranty"). Avoid participating in extreme athletic events while
simultaneously using your device.
It matters where you bought it.
This Limited Warranty is only valid and enforceable in locations where the device is sold and will apply only if you
purchased your device from Google or its authorised resellers.
We cover a lot, but here's what's not covered.
This Limited Warranty only applies to the hardware components (and not any software elements) of the device and
does not apply to damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse (including failure to follow product
documentation), neglect, disassembly, alterations, servicing other than by Google authorised technicians and external
causes such as, but not limited to, water damage, extreme thermal or environmental conditions.
We're not perfect, but we try very, very hard.
This Limited Warranty does not guarantee that use of the device will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Warranty remedy (what to do if something does go wrong with your device).
If a defect arises and you return your device during the one-year Limited Warranty period, Google will, at its sole
discretion and to the extent permitted by law, either repair your device using new or refurbished parts, replace your
device with a new or refurbished device functionally at least equivalent to yours, or accept the return of the device in
exchange for a refund of the purchase price that you paid for your device. If Google repairs or replaces your device, the
repaired or replaced device will continue to be warranted for the remaining time of the original warranty period. All
returned device and/or parts for which you have received a replacement will become the property of Google. Nothing
in this Limited Warranty will reduce or otherwise affect your statutory rights in relation to the device.
To make a claim under the Limited Warranty, please:
1. Contact the support team at 800093181 (for Australia), 800448099 (for New Zealand) or at
pixel.google.com/c-support to register your claim and provide the details to enable Google to assess the claim.
2. Provide or make the device available to Google as agreed with Google. If you are required to return the device,
Google will provide details of the service centre to you. If service is on-site or in-home pick-up service, Google or its
agents will contact you to make arrangements.
3. We'll need your name, contact information and the serial number of your device. In certain situations, we might also
ask you to provide a purchase receipt.
Please refer to the Privacy Policy for more information on how we handle that data, at google.com/privacy. It is your
responsibility to backup all data prior to returning the device under this Limited Warranty.
Included in this Limited Warranty for Australia and New Zealand is an in-home pick-up service for products.
The device will be at your risk whilst in transit to and from the authorised service centre, unless transported by Google
or its authorised representatives, so don't just hand it over to anyone.
Google and its authorised service centres may seek reimbursement of any costs incurred by them if the device is
found to be in good working order.
The device comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law (if you purchased the
device in Australia) and New Zealand Consumer Law (if you purchased the device in New Zealand). You are entitled to
a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure
does not amount to a major failure.
And here's the all-caps part, so pay attention.
HOWEVER, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE LIMITED WARRANTY WRITTEN
ABOVE IS THE ONLY EXPRESS WARRANTY GOOGLE PROVIDES FOR THE DEVICE, AND THE ABOVE REMEDY IS YOUR
SOLE REMEDY AND GOOGLE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES AND CONDITIONS OF
ANY KIND, WHETHER STATUTORY OR IMPLIED, ARISING FROM COURSE OF CONDUCT OR OTHERWISE, REGARDING
THE DEVICE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
