5 Description

5.1

General

Using the touch screen

All functions on the pH-2006 are selected by pointing on the touch screen.
To point any option shown on the screen you can do it by your fi ngers or, better, by
the pointer.
Please, in order to not scratch the screen, press the pointer gently.
It is not necessary to press the pointer to much. The screen is enough sensitive to
act at gently pointing.
In order to protect the touch screen against excessive dust, keep the pH-meter
with its anti-dust cover.

6 Installation

6.1 Locate and connection to mains.

Place the pH-meter on a fl at surface, clean of dust, not to direct sun light exposi-
tion, and near to a mains plug. For an ergonomic use, let 30cm free space round
the pH-meter.
Use the power cord to connect pH-meter to mains plug provided with an earth
conductor.

6.2 Electrode and temperature probe connection

The electrode must be stored with its immersion cap fi lled with electrolyte.
The electrode and the temperature probe must be connected on the rear panel.
To connect the electrode, remove the short-circuit connector from the pH-meter
and to connect the electrode to BNC socket. Please keep the BNC socket with the
short-circuit connector when the pH electrode is not connected on the socket.
Note: The BNC connectors are extracted and placed turning 1/4 turn.
Keep the electrode with its immersion cap until use.
CAUTION:
The immersion cap contend KCl 3M as electrolyte which is corrosive.
Take suitable cautions to avoid electrolyte be in contact with skin or wear. Avoid
any contact with eyes. In case to be in contact clean with abundant water.
