6.3 Measuring temperature. ATC correction
The pH-2006 includes ATC (Automatic temperature correction). This means that
the reading is corrected if the measuring temperature is different from 25ºC.
The measuring temperature is the one the temperature probe reads or if the tem-
perature probe is NOT connected it is the temperature set by the keypad.
See 7.2 paragraph to set the measuring temperature by the touch screen:
(Temperature probe NOT connected on the rear panel socket)
Note: If the measuring temperature set has a value far from the actual sample
temperature, the pH reading could have considerable error.
7 Operation
7.1 Initial screen
The initial screen is the pH measuring screen.
As well as the pH more information is done:
•
System time.
•
Measuring temperature.
•
mV
•
Temperature probe type.
•
ATC status.
•
Last Buffers used for calibration.
Buttons: «SETUP», «VIEW», «STD», «SAVE», «PRINT», «DEL»
7.2 SETUP screen
Use this menu to set pH-meter general parameters as:
•
Current time:
After this line is pointed the "Set current time" window is opened:
•
Point the item to change: year, month,... (SETUP button
appears)
•
Point several times over the item to change to set it.
•
Point «SETUP» to validate the new setting.
•
Point on the X on the Top - right corner to close the window.
•
Resolution (mV):
On pointing over this line option, mV resolution is changing
successively.
•
Resolution (pH):
On pointing over this line option, pH resolution is changing
successively.
•
Default temperature.
This will be the measuring temperature when no temperature sensor
will be connected.
After this line is pointed, the "Set default temperature" window is
opened:
•
Point «SETUP» to change de value.
•
Point «ENTER» to validate.
•
Temp. electrode
After this line is pointed, a new window is opened. Select the type of
temperature probe connected on the "TEMP" socket.
