the area of ceiling on which it is intended to fix the appliance is
solid and that there are no electrical cables or suchlike behind. Fit
the chains to the appliance as shown in Fig. 2.
• Upright mounting (code 4463, optional). Fix the support by
screwing on the two screws (3-A). Position the Petalo so that the
holes on the product match those on the support and lock into pla-
ce with the screws (3-B). To set the angle, loosen the knob on the
support and find the required position. Tighten the knob again to
lock into place.
Use only the universal pole that can be ordered as accessory
(cod. 4463).
Ensure that the power cable cannot come into contact with
the reflector of the appliance and does not intrude into the
area of light flux.
4. USE
The Petalo range consists of a 1200 W heater and an 1800 W heater.
The essential element of the heater is the halogen filled quartz linear
lamp with a tungsten element. The heater operates at full output al-
most immediately. The heating reaches a distance of about 3 meters
in front of the appliance.
Do not use it in small rooms used by people who are unable
to leave such rooms on their own unless they are under con-
stant surveillance or unless the product is in the version with
the suffix ED. In this case the heating appliance does feature
an external device to control ambient temperature.
Avoid exposing skin to the rays of the appliance for distances
less than 50 cm.
Avoid exposing eyes to the rays of the appliance for distanc-
es less than 2.70 m.
All users should be made aware of all aspects of operation
and safety and these instructions should be retained for ref-
erence.
