Cleaning the unit
• Regular maintenance and cleaning ensure optimal results and extends the life of your unit.
• Store the Promed feeling in a safe, cool and dry location when it is not in use.
• To ensure that the safety, reliability and performance of the unit are not adversely affected,
enhancements, readjustments, alterations or repairs are not permitted aside from those performed
by Promed authorized persons.
• Before cleaning the unit, make sure that it is turned off and disconnected from the electricity.
• Use a slightly moist, soft cloth to clean the unit.
• Do not use any aggressive substances such as scouring agents or other detergents as they may
corrode the surface.
• Wipe clean with a soft, moist cloth and do not use scouring agents.
• Do not immerse the unit in fluid and keep the unit away from solvents and strong detergents.
• Do not repair the unit. The unit does not have parts that consumers can service.
Cleaning the grinding heads
The abrasives can be cleaned from dust and skin residuals by using a cleaning brush (e.g.
Promed cleaning brush Art.No. 198910). It is always advisable to disinfect the abrasives
with a commercially available instrument disinfection (e.g. Promed PURE-ID), in order to avoid
transmission of infections. Please make sure to keep the pins of the abrasives free of grease and
clean these from time to time.
Caring for the rechargeable batteries / precautionary measures when charging
• To maintain full battery capacity, it is recommended that only fully discharged batteries be
charged again. Disconnect the power supply unit from the electricity network when not in use
for longer periods of time.
• Do not continuously charge the unit for more than 3 days.
• Do not operate the unit with the power supply unit when the batteries are fully charged.
• Every few months, operate the unit until the motor stops altogether. Then place the switch
onto "off" and fully charge the unit up again. Do not charge the unit or store it when the
roomtemperature is under 41° F (5° C) or above 122° F (50° C).
• Do not charge the unit or store it near heaters or other sources of heat or in places where the
unit is subject to strong sunlight.
• Do not charge it in moist places.
• Pull the plug of the power supply unit out of the wall socket when you have finished charging.
