Take caution to prevent dust inhalation and skin contact.

Store the device where it is inaccessible to children.
∙
Do not drill, fasten or break into existing walls or
other blind areas where electrical wiring may exist. If
this situation is unavoidable, disconnect all fuses or
circuit breakers feeding this worksite.
∙
Use a metal detector to determine if there are gas
or water pipes hidden in the work area or call the local
utility company for assistance before beginning the
operation. Striking or cutting into a gas line will result
in explosion. Water entering an electrical device may
cause electrocution.
∙
Do not use dull or damaged chisels and
accessories. Dull or damaged chisels have a greater
tendency to bind in the workpiece.
UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings on this
manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call
IVT assistance center.
INITIAL OPERATION
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power supply
voltage must match the information quoted on the tool
identification plate.
AUXILIARY HANDLE (4)
For all works with the machine, the auxiliary handle
(4) must be mounted. You will be able to obtain a safe
body position when working by rotating the handle
attachment.
REPLACING TOOLS
Clean tools and grease with a thin layer of machine
grease before fitting.
Inserting the bit [F1]
∙
Pull back the fastening sleeve (7) and hold.
∙
Push and rotate the tool into the tool holder as far
as it will go; the tool will lock automatically.
∙
Check that it is locked by pulling the tool.
Changing the bit
ATTENTION! Accessories may be hot after use.
∙
Pull back the fastening sleeve (7), hold and remove the
tool. All accessories should be wiped clean after removing.
NOTE: the high efficiency available from the
rotary hammers can only be obtained if sharp and
undamaged accessories are used.
SWITCHING ON / OFF [F2]
Brief activation
Press the On / Off switch (1) and then let it go again.
Continuous use
Switching on:

Press the On / Off switch (1) and retain with the
locking button (2).
Switching off:

Press and release the On / Off switch (1).
DRILLING AND HAMMERING
WARNING! When the rotary hammer
is drilling, you will require a low
pressure. Too much pressure will
place unnecessary load on the motor.
Check the drill bits regularly. Re-
sharpen or replace blunt drill bits.
Drilling only [F3]
To activate the drilling function, turn the selector knob
(5) (depressing the release button (6), if present) in
drilling position (

Hammering / drilling [F4]
To activate the hammering / drilling function, turn the
selector knob (5) (depressing the release button (6), if
present) in hammering / drilling position (
Chiseling angle adjustment [F5]
You can also change the chisel angle; to do so, turn
the selector knob (5) (depressing the release button (6),
if present) in chisel angle adjustment position (
change the chisel angle and return to a suitable position
for working.
Hammering only [F6]
To activate the hammering function, turn the selector
knob (5) (depressing the release button (6), if present),
on hammering position (
CHANGING
THE
DIRECTIONS [F7]
Operate the rotational direction switch (3) only at a
standstill.
With the rotational direction switch (3), the rotational
direction of the machine can be changed (when the On /
Off switch (1) is operated, the rotational direction switch
(3) is locked).
