Instructions for Use
Electronic Flying Insect Killer
Dear Client,
Congratulations for choosing one of our quality products. Please read these instructions carefully and completely
before you connect the device to the mains in order to avoid possible damages due to inappropriate use.
1. Product description
This insect killer works without chemicals and causes no environmental pollution whatsoever. Pesky biting insects (e.g.
mosquitoes) and small flies are attracted by ultraviolet light. On the way to the light source the insects are quickly and
hygienically destroyed by the electrodes, which are charged with a high voltage, but safe for humans.
2. Connection to the mains
The device is made for an operating voltage of 230 volts~. Before you plug the power plug of the device into the mains
socket of your house installation, make sure that the operating voltage of your house installation corresponds to this
voltage.

Attention:
Not suitable for use in barn, stables and similar locations. (Fire danger)
Attention:
In its working condition the device generates "high voltage". Do not use, place or hang up the
device within the reaching area of the hands. (It is recommended that the device is hung 1.5 to 3
metres above ground.)
Warning:
For environmental reasons outdoor use is prohibited because beneficial insects could be killed.
4. Maintenance
Replacing the fluorescent lamp should only be done by an authorised technician!
Warning notice:
Use only original fluorescent lamps for replacement (Item No. 62303).
5. Cleaning and upkeep
1. Always unplug the mains connection from the wall socket.
2. Dead insects are removed from the grid and the lamp by means of a brush. You can possibly use a bit of soapy
detergent to aid the process (most household cleaners are suitable).
The protective grid on the front and rear need not be removed.
3. Regularly empty the catch tray at the bottom of the device.
4. Pull the catch tray out carefully and remove the dead insects. Replace the catch tray.
6. Shelf-life
The UV fluorescent lamp gives continuous UV light, which is invisible to humans. After longer operation (approx. 6-12
months depending on daily length of use) the UV component in the emitted light is reduced, the attraction power on
the insects fades, making a replacement of the UV lamp necessary. Because the reduction of the UV component
cannot be visibly observed, it is recommended that the tube be replaced once a year, in order to maintain optimal
attraction power. A defective light source may only be replaced by authorised technical staff.
