The mixers are suitable for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres:

Check the following prior to activation:
ƒ
Has the electrical connection been implemented in accordance with regulations?
ƒ
Is the connection cable routed correctly?
ƒ
Can the float switch move freely?
ƒ
Accessories attached correctly?
ƒ
Has the temperature of the fluid been observed?
ƒ
Has the immersion depth been observed?
ƒ
Intermittent operation: Is the max. switching frequency complied with?
ƒ
Has the minimum water level above propeller been defined and monitored?
ƒ
Min. fluid temperature can drop below 3 °C: Monitoring device with automatic deactiva-
tion installed?
ƒ
No installations within the direct rotary range of the propeller?
The mixer must switch on and off using a separate operating point (on/off switch,
switchgear) set by the customer.
ƒ
When the mixer starts, the rated current is exceeded for a short time.
ƒ
Current consumption continues to be slightly above the rated current during the start-up
phase, until the flow in the basin increases.
ƒ
During operation, do not exceed the rated current any more.
CAUTION! Material damage! If the mixer does not start up, switch it off immediately.
Motor failure! Remove the fault first before reactivation.
WARNING
Risk of injury from rotating propeller!
No persons are allowed to be present in the working area of the mixer. There is a risk of
injury!
• Secure and demarcate the working area.
• If there are no persons in the working area, activate the mixer.
• If persons enter the working area, switch off the mixer immediately.
Please regularly check the following points:

Mixer free from deposits and encrustations.
ƒ
Connection cable is not damaged.
ƒ
Minimum water submersion ensured.
ƒ
Quiet and low-vibration running.
ƒ
Max. switching frequency not exceeded.
ƒ
Mains connection tolerances:

Operating voltage: +/-10 %

Frequency: +/- 2 %

Current consumption between the individual phases: max. 5 %
–
Voltage difference between the individual phases: max. 1 %
