If other external inductive effects are to be
expected, e. g., from power cables, trolley li-
nes, transformer stations or similar, shielded
cables should be used for the measurement
current lines.

Limiting Temperature for
Automatic Switching Off
of the Heating Equip-
ment (a)
With this adjustment knob, the outdoor tem-
perature (15 to 25 °C) can be set at which
the heating unit (burner and circulation
pump) is automatically switched off or on.
Example: In the position "20", the heating
unit is switched off at outdoor temperatures
over + 20 °C and automatically switched on
again at temperatures under + 19 °C.
The value set is to be determined by the
operator of the equipment. In the ∞ position
set at the factory, this function is not active
and makes heating operations possible at
any outside temperature, e. g., the operation
of the system in midsummer.

With this switch, selection can be made bet-
ween the following five different modes of
operation:
Frost Protection Mode: For outdoor
)
temperatures over + 4 °C, the burner
and circulation pump are switched off.
For outdoor temperatures under + 3 °C,
the heating unit is regulated to the mini-
mum temperature. This is 10 °C for the
"Thermen". For the boilers, the mini-
mum temperature can be found in the
equipment installation instructions.
The circulation pump runs.
Select this position in summer
Tip
and during winter vacations
when the room temperature can be
significantly reduced (Caution: House
,
plants, pets ...).
Reduced Operation: The feed water
temperature is continuously reduced re-
lative to the heating curve by the value
set on the adjustment knob (d). The
time control is without function.
Select this position during winter
Tip
vacations when the room tempe-
rature cannot be significantly reduced.
Normal / Frost Protection Mode: Au-
tomatic switching between normal and
frost protection operation according to
the time control program.
Select this savings position
Tip
when the thermal insulation in
your building is good and prevents ra-
pid cooling. During the switched off pe-
riod (e. g., at night), the burner and
pump are switched off for outdoor tem-
peratures over approx. +3 °C.
