Important! Ethereal oils and organic solvents can damage plastic parts. Do not
use additives such as lemon juice or the juice from orange peel, butyric acid, or a
cleanser that contains acetic acid.
■ Do not allow such substances to come into contact with the appliance parts.
■ Do not use any abrasive cleansers.
1. Remove the food from the appliance and store it in a cool, dry place.
2. Switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the mains. Alternatively,
switch off the circuit breaker or unscrew the fuse.
3. Clean the appliance and the interior accessories with a cloth and lukewarm
water. After cleaning, wipe down with a clean, dry cloth until the interior is dry.
4. After everything is dry, put the appliance back into service.
Cleaning the Drain Hole
To avoid defrost water overflowing into the refrigerator, periodically clean the drain
hole at the back of the refrigerator compartment as shown in Figure 20.

DEFROSTING THE FREEZER

The freezer compartment will gradually become covered with frost. This frost
should be removed. Do not use sharp metal tools to scrape frost off the evaporator
as you could damage it.
When the frost becomes quite thick on the inner liner, a complete defrosting should
be carried out.
1. Unplug the appliance.
2. Remove all stored food. Wrap this food in layers of newspapers and store it in a
cool place.
3. Keep the freezer door open.
4. Place a basin under the appliance to catch the defrost water.
5. When the freezer is completely defrosted, dry the interior thoroughly.
6. Close the freezer door.
7. Replace the plug in the power socket.

REPLACING THE LAMP

Caution! Before replacing the bulb in the lamp, unplug the appliance.
The correct bulb specification is listed on the appliance rating label.
1. Turn off the appliance, turn the temperature regulation knob to number 0.
2. Unplug the appliance. For safety, make sure the appliance is disconnected from
the mains.
3. Remove the screw from the lamp cover.
4. Pull the lamp cover out. See Figure 21.
5. Unscrew the bulb.
6. Screw in a fresh bulb.
7. Replace the cover and screw it into place.
8. Plug in the appliance and set the temperature regulation knob to the proper
number.
