Thank you for choosing an O'Neal helmet.
Our helmets are manufactured in accordance with the latest technology and are specifically designed for pedal
cyclists. This product comply with the requirements set forth by European Standard EN 1078:2012+A1:2012
'Helmets for pedal cyclists and for users of skateboards and roller skates' and is CE certified according to the
REGULATION (EU) 2016/425 as a second category Personal Protective Equipment.
WARNING
Helmet should not be used by children while climbing or doing other activities when there is a risk of
strangulation/hanging if the child gets trapper with the helmet.
The function of the helmets is to absorb impacts and hits which may occur during riding via the partial
destruction of the inner damping EPS shell. For your safety always use an appropriate helmet while riding. This
reduces the risk of injuries, but no helmet can protect the user against all possible impacts.
FITTING
For adequate protection, this helmet must fit closely and be securely attached.
We recommend to try different sizes and to choose the size which feels secure and comfortable on the head.
Half shell helmets are usually being delivered with additional inner linings with two pad thicknesses.
You may easily remove a pad and install a differently sized pad. This allows you to even better adjust individually
the helmet to your head.
Before its use the helmet has to be adjusted to correctly fit the user. Take care to adjust straps and buckle to
be both comfortable and firm in a manner that ears will not cover by straps and buckle will be positioned away
from the jawbone.
Put the helmet in such a way it sits firmly on your head with the front end just some centimeters above the
eyebrows, mostly in the middle between the brows and the hair line.
MAINTAINANCE
A helmet subjected to a severe impact should be discharged and destroyed.
Paint, stickers, petrol or other solvents and/or any modification are very dangerous since the original safety
performance of the helmet might be compromised. For maintenance purpose use exclusively O'Neal original
spare parts.
HELMET CARE: Use a sponge with warm water and mild soap to clean the shell. Removable internal lining can
be hand washed at 30°C maximum using only water and mild soap.
Let the helmet and his components dry at room temperature in a ventilated place avoiding heat and direct sun
light exposure.
When not in use store the helmet in dry place and do not expose to extreme temperatures especially in an
enclosed area such as the back shelf of a car.
Obsolescence. The average lifetime, assuming a correct use, is about 4 years since the date of purchasing and
6 years since the date of manufacturing.
It is recommended to use original carton box for transportation purpose.
VALIDITY
O'Neal guarantees exclusively the helmet and its components for a period of two years from the purchasing
date as regards conformity defects.
