Assembly

Only suitable forklift trucks must be used. The centre of gravity of the load is to be determined and to be
-
secured by means of the loading diagram of the forklift truck so that the load can be lifted safely. The forks
must be at least as long as the forklift pockets of the drum gripper.
Place the drum gripper in front of the forklift truck and align the fork distance with the receptor pockets
-
distance. Release the T-bolts on the receptor pockets.
Grab the drum gripper with the forklift truck.

Pull on the T-bolt by hand or with the aid of a tool. In addition the drum gripper is to be secured with a
-
securing chain through the eye-bolt of the forklift truck. Check regularly that the T-bolt has not become loose.

Operation

Drive up to the drum(s) to be lifted with the truck so that the spring mechanism touches the top rim of the drum.

As soon as you raise the drum gripper the spring mechanism now engages and it is possible to transport the
drum (s).
If you wish to transport two drums (SH2) these must be standing close together and be of roughly equal
-
weight.
The spring mechanism guarantees a secure hold on the drum (s) even when moving over uneven ground.

Only transport drums picked up at walking pace

In potentially explosive areas keep to a driving speed of less than 1 m/s to avoid sparking.

Manoeuvre over uneven ground very carefully!

As soon as the load touches the ground again the drum gripper automatically disengages.

Maintenance and servicing

Regularly check all moving components for free movement and relubricate them if required with
commercially-available lubricating grease.
In the event of damage and particular incidents that could influence the carrying capacity as well as after repairs
an extraordinary testing by a specialist is to be carried out.
