- Lift the protective flap (5) and hold.
- Slot the cuttings bag (7) into place.
- Ensure that the bag has slotted into place
securely.
Connecting the product

- Pull the extension cable through the cable grip
(8) as illustrated.
- Insert the extension cable coupling into the
mains.
De-thatching/aerating
DANGER! Danger of injury! Before starting
work, always check the ground and remove all
objects which could be thrown by the machine.
DANGER! Danger of injury! Never release
the trigger while working.
Note: The shorter the lawn has been cut, the
better it can be de-thatched/aerated.

- Position the machine on a level lawn surface.
- Press the operating safety lock (9) and hold
down.
- Pull and keep hold of the trigger (1).
- Release the operating safety lock.
- Wait until the motor has reached its maximum
speed.
- Guide the machine at an even slow speed
(walking pace) in a straight line wherever
possible.
Important information
DANGER! Danger of injury!
- Always keep the extension cable away
from the machine.
- Wherever possible, work across the slope.
- Never start the machine on a solid surface.
- If the working roller becomes blocked
by a solid object, release the trigger
immediately.
- If a foreign body was picked up, check the
machine and have it repaired if necessary.
• For an improved result, and to lengthen the
machine's working life, the lawn should be cut
as short as possible.
• Staying for too long in one place can damage
the lawn surface.

Cleaning and maintenance

DANGER! Danger of injury! Prior to any
maintenance and/or cleaning:
- Switch the machine off.
- Pull out the plug.
WARNING! Danger of injury! The working
roller runs on!
- Never turn the machine over, or lift or carry
it when the motor is running.
- Prior to any maintenance and/or cleaning,
wait until the machine has come to a stop.

the maintenance steps described here.
Have all other work, in particular motor
maintenance and repairs, conducted by a
trained technician. Improperly performed work
may cause damage to the machine and may
result in injury.
Cleaning and maintenance overview

Check mains plug and
cable for damage.
Check all screwed
connections and
tighten them if
necessary.
Remove all grass and
moss from the
ventilation slits of the
motor.
Cleaning the machine
The machine should be cleaned immediately after
each use. Grass residue which dries in place is
very hard, and can be removed only with difficulty.
- Empty the collecting sack.
- Remove grass residue with a brush and a
plastic scraper if necessary (do not use sharp
equipment).
- Remove deposits from the wheels.
- Wipe the machine with a slightly damp cloth.
- Never clean with water or a high pressure jet.

Storing, transport

Storing
DANGER! Attention, danger of injury!
Store the machine in such a way that it cannot
be started by unauthorised people and that it
is inaccessible to children.
Ensure that no-one can be injured by the
machine when stationary.
