OBSERVED FAULTS, POSSIBLE CAUSES AND REMEDIES
FAULT
• Air heater does not start
• Air heater stops burning and lamp (1) lights up
• Too much gas is used
• Air heater cannot be switched off by means of
the switch
CAUSE
• No electrical supply
• Motor is overloaded (fan blows irregularly or is
blocked)
• Thermostat or time-clock setting incorrect
• Switch defect
• Fault in the elec. control box
• No gas pressure up to solenoid valves
• Solenoid valves do not open
• Flame sensor out of order
• Grille protecting fan is dirty
• Overheat thermostat with manual restart cuts in
• Thermostat out of order
• Fault in the elec. control box
• Pressure regulator defect
• Gas leakage
• Switch defect
• Fault in the elec. control box
• Thermostat out of order
• Solenoid valves do not close

REMEDY
• Check that the plug is in socket and supply
available
• Check motor and fan and replace if necessary
• Adjust setting
• Shut off the gas supply, remove plug from
socket and replace switch
• Replace the elec. control box
• Check that the gas supply is open
• Check that the gas bottle(s) is (are) filled
• Press the button of the safety cut off valve
• Check solenoid valves
• Check the electrical connection
• Check the overheat thermostat
• Check the regulation and, if necesaary, adjust it
• Remove the flame sensor and clean it
• Clean the protection grille
• Check if the grilles at the inlet and outlet are
dirty
• Check that there is sufficient fresh air supply
• Check that the heated air can flow out freely
• Check the thermostat and replace, if necessary
• Replace the elec. control box
• Replace pressure regulator
• Locate the leak with soap-suds and replace the
defective part
• Shut off the gas supply, remove plug from
socket and replace switch
• Replace the elec. control box
• Check the thermostat and replace, if necessary
• Close the gas supply, allow the available gas in
the hose to burn, remove plug from the socket,
remove solenoid valves, clean and remount.
