9. PROBLEMS, CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS
• The high pressure cleaner does not start
• Having pressed the switch, the motor makes
a noise but does not start
• Having pressed the switch the machine
•
starts but no water comes out
• During functioning the machine stops
• The water jet is regular, but with very
•
low pressure values
• During functioning the pressure is irregular
• Vibrations in the high pressure pipe (the pump
•
functions with irregular pulsations, variations
•
in pressure and noisiness)
• The H.P. pump oil displays traces of water
•
(the oil takes on a whitish colouration)
• Loss of water from the pump
• The adjustment valve resets with the spray gun
•
lever off
• The machine does not provide any detergent
10. DISPOSAL AND SCRAPPING
When you decide to render the high pressure cleaner unusable, the electricity supply cable must be removed and the rating plate taken off. In addi-
tion, it is necessary to prevent any high pressure cleaner components from posing a danger. The high pressure cleaner constitutes special refuse, and
hence it is necessary to dismount and divide it into homogenous parts, disposing of it in accordance with current national laws. Do not use pieces of the
scrapped high pressure cleaner as spare parts.
CAUSES
• Electricity supply interrupted or insufficient
• The mains voltage is less than the minimum
•
required
• Water circuit frozen
• Water supply closed
• Water filter clogged
• Electricity supply interrupted or insufficient
• Nozzle worn
• Water supply filter clogged
• Worn pump gaskets
• Deformed or clogged nozzle
• Hydraulic supply interrupted or insufficient
• The pump sucks air up
• Pump gaskets worn
• Machine start-up without having completely
•
discharged the air from the circuit
• Dirty, blocked or worn valves
• High percentage of humidity in the air
• Worn seal rings
• Worn gaskets
• Worn pistons
• Loss in the spray gun
• Losses from the high pressure pipe or
•
from other parts of the hydraulic circuit
• Empty recipient
• Nozzle in punctiform jet position

SOLUTIONS
• Check the specifications of the electricity supply
• Check the electricity connections
• Check that the mains supply is adequate
• Move the machine to warm place
• Open the tap
• Dismount and wash the filter
• Check the specifications of the electricity supply
• Check the electricity connections
• Replace the terminal
• Clean the filter or replace it
• Replace the gaskets
• Clean the nozzle or replace the terminal
• Control the hydraulic network
• Check for the presence of any leaks and tighten
•
all the junctions
• Replace the gaskets
• Remove the terminal and allow the H.P. pump
•
to function for a few seconds
• Disassemble the valves and clean or
•
replace them
• Replace the oil twice as often as prescribed
• Replace the seal rings
• Replace the gaskets
• Replace the pistons
• Replace the spray gun
• Check the status of the H.P. pipe and the entire
•
hydraulic circuit
• Fill the recipient
• Rotate the end of the terminal
