4.2 SETTING THE CURRENT DAY AND TIME

4.3 INSTALLATION PROGRAM
To activate the water softener, perform the following opera-
tions:
• insert the power connector in the valve (fig. 9, A) and press
the
key until "SETTING AT WORK" appears on the
display.
• wait a few seconds, then slowly open the inlet tap (fig. 3,
D) first, and then slowly open the outlet tap (fig. 3, B)
The water softener will now run the installation program inde-
pendently, carrying out the following operations:
1. Backwash (B3)
2. First brine tank filling and quick wash (B7)
3. Resin suction and washing (B5)
4. Quick rinse and second brine tank filling (B7)
5. Service mode
The display will show the step that is currently being per-
formed and how many minutes are left until the end of the
installation.
At the end of the cycle, fill three-quarters of the brine tank
with salt (fig. 8); the water softener is now be ready for pro-
gramming.
It is possible to interrupt the installation program by pressing
and holding the
key for 5 seconds. The water softener will
go into service mode.

5) SETTING THE TIMER

When you set the timer, you can:
• set the days of the week when the resin regeneration will
be performed (for example Monday, Tuesday, etc), or set
an interval of days elapsing between a regeneration and
the next (for example every 3 days, or 12 days, etc)
• set the time when the regeneration will be performed
• set the water softener model
• set any possible modifications to the duration of regenera-
tions
• turn on the alarms alerting you that there is no salt in the
container.
Before you start with the settings, we advise you to take note
of the model (fig. 3, L).
ATTENTION: If no key is pressed for longer than 1 minute du-
ring the setting procedure, the display will go back to showing
the current time and day, storing the data inserted up to that
moment.
To go back to the setting step you had reached, you need to
repeat the programming from the beginning.
5.1 START
Insert the connector in the timer (fig. 9, A). The display will
show the time, the day, and the water softener model (for
example, if the water softener is an AL8, the writing -08- will

5.2 SETTING THE REGENERATION DAYS
Regeneration sequences can be set on a weekly schedule
or by setting an interval of days between a regeneration and
to
the next.

ATTENTION: one setting will exclude the other. If you want to

set an interval of days between a regeneration and the next

(paragraph 5.2.2) you must not select any regeneration day in
the weekly timetable (paragraph 5.2.1).

5.2.1 SETTING THE REGENERATIONS ON A WEEKLY
SCHEDULE

5.2.2 SETTING THE REGENERATIONS ON AN INTERVAL
OF DAYS
If you want to set an interval of days between a regeneration
and the next, do not place any asterisk and press
writing "REGENERATION EVERY 01 DAYS" will appear on
the display.

a regeneration every 12 days.
Values go from 00 (no regeneration) to 30 (one regeneration
every 30 days).
If you set 00, the water softener will never perform an auto-
matic regeneration, and you will need to do a manual one (see
paragraph 7.1).
