The AT-MCR12 Rackmount Chassis
To install the AT-MCR12 chassis for desktop application
Do not expose the chassis to water or mist. Install the chassis in a dust-free
environment. Do not place it on the floor. Install the chassis properly to avoid
exposing personnel to high voltage and other risks. Modules must be installed by
qualified personnel. See Electrical Safety and Installation Requirements on page 11.
Air vents must not be blocked and must have free access to the room ambiant air for
cooling.
1. Select a location with adequate ventilation clearance.
2. Connect the power cord to an appropriate power outlet. The power supply is self-
adjusting for ac input power between 110 Volts and 220 Volts.
3. Install media converters as described on page 6.

Power cord is used as a disconnection device. To de-energise equipment, disconnect
the power cord.
Optional AT-MCR12 Redundant Power Supply Unit
For maximum protection against service interruption, Allied Telesyn offers a hot-
swappable auxiliary power supply unit, the AT-PWR4. The AT-PWR4 provides automatic
load balancing for one or two power supplies and on-the-fly switching in case of power
supply failure. See your Allied Telesyn representative for more information.
