3. Install the media converter in the chassis slot by sliding the mounting guide into the
guide channel in the slot. Refer to Figure 3. The power plug in the chassis plugs into
the media converter receptacle. Gently seat the plug as you slide the guide in its
channel.

4. Secure the mounting guide to the chassis by re-installing its screw (removed in Step 1.)
To install the AT-MCR12 in a standard 19-inch rack
Do not expose the chassis to water or mist. Install the chassis in a dust-free
environment. Install the chassis properly to avoid exposing personnel to high voltage
and other risks. The chassis must be installed by qualified personnel. See Electrical
Safety and Installation Requirements on page 11.
1. Remove the four protective feet from the bottom of the chassis and set them aside for
safekeeping (for a desktop installation).
2. Select the two rackmount ears, and using three M4-6 flathead Phillips screws for each,
attach one on each side of the chassis. (The rackmount ears are interchangeable.) The
assembly looks as shown in Figure 1.
3. Support the chassis and slide it into a rack.
4. Using standard rackmount screws (not included), attach the chassis rackmount ears to
the rack.
