To unscrew the crown in position 0, turn it anticlockwise. in service. When the watch has
stopped , unscrew and pull the crown to position 1 then wind the mechanism by turning the
crown clockwise. After approximately 40 rotations, the watch is completely wound (the
mechanism does not have a stopper to avoid too much pressure on the winder). The power
reserve is then approximately 42 hours. When the watch is worn , it is the automatism
which winds the movement. Date setting: Quick setting * (crown in position 2): pull the
crown to position 2 and adjust the date by turning the crown anticlockwise. Slow setting :
(crown in position 3): in order to ensure a date change at midnight and not at midday, it
is advisable to carry out the date setting with the help of the hour hands. Pull the crown
to position 3 and turn the hands until the date has changed. Then adjust the hour accu-
rately. Hour setting. Unscrew and pull the crown to position 3. The second hand has thus
stopped which enables an adjustment with accuracy to within one second. Adjust the hour
by turning the crown in the desired direction.

The measurement is carried out in hours, minutes and seconds. Measurement of a
short time. Button H. 1st pressure: sets off the time measurement. 2nd pressure:
stops the time measurement. 3rd pressure: restarts the time measurement. This allows
one or several time intervals to be subtracted from the total time measured or to accu-
mulate the measurement of several short times. Button J (to use only when the chrono-
graph has stopped). Single pressure: resets the chronograph to zero.

Your watch's case is made up of 3 main sets:
Set 1: the main body of the case with the crown (K)
Set 2: the « lid » of the case with the sapphire crystal
Set 3: the strap's 2 fasteners (I)
These 3 sets are put together with 2 types of screws visible on each side of the case:
The 4 screws (F) with a split head are used to fix the lid onto the body of the case and to
ensure the watch is waterproof (Warning: to benefit from the Bell & Ross guar-
antee, these screws must never be unscrewed).
The 8 socket-head screws (M and N) (Allen screw/1.3 mm diameter) are used to fix the
strap onto the fasteners and also the strap's fasteners onto the case. These screws can
be handled with care by using the 2 appropriate tools delivered with the watch in its box.
IMpoRTANT
*Quick date setting. As for all mechanical watches equipped with a calendar, the
quick date setting (crown in position 2) MUST UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES be carried out
between 9 P .M. and 3 A.M.
Water resistance. Once the setting finished, screw the crown back again in order to
guarantee perfect water resistance. For this, push the crown to position 0 by turning
clockwise simultaneously. The crown must never be handled under water.
MAINTeNANce
It is advisable to rinse the watch and its strap carefully with fresh water after contact with
sea water. It is also recommended that the water resistance of your watch is serviced
every two years. In order to guarantee a service that conforms to the brand's require-
ments, any intervention on your watch must be carried out by the Bell & Ross repair centre
or a watch maker authorised by Bell & Ross. When a repair is carried out during the guar-
antee period, you must present the Bell & Ross guarantee card, duly dated and signed by
the retailer at the time the watch was purchased.
