6 Setup and configuration

Click the "Settings" button (Button no. 16, see
Figure 1). Tabs are reviewed individually below.
6.1 Device
Here you can select any other TV/radio tuners
connected to your PC. Here you will find the
Sandberg Mini DVB-T Dongle as a "Realtek DIV
Filter".
6.2 Channel
Here you have the option to rescan for TV
channels.
1. Scan channels as described in section 4.2. If
you only want to scan for new channels and
updates, you can select the "Add or Update
Channels" field.
2. Click the "Export" button if you want to export
your channel list to a file so that it can e.g. be
used for an installation on a different PC.
3. Click the "Import" button if you have a channel
list as a file you want to import.
4. In the "Channel name" field you can rename
individual channels as you wish.
5. By each channel you will find the
which indicates that the channel is in your
favorites list which can be retrieved from the
channel index window by clicking on the
icon. If you want to remove a
channel from
favorites list you must click the

6.3 Video
1. You can adjust brightness, colour and contrast
in the drop-down menus.
2. Select "Enabled" under "Deinterface" to avoid
any lines on the TV image.
3. Under "High Definition Video Quality", you
can select the level of HDTV decoding. Select
"Highest" for the highest quality.
NOTE: This can lead to a poor TV image quality
if your CPU is not powerful enough to show the
highest quality. In this case, select a lower quality
level.
6.4 Record
1. In the "Folder" field you can click the .. icon
to select where on your hard disk you want
recordings to be saved.
2. In the drop-down menu under Auto cut file
size, you can select the max. space a recorded
file may use. If your hard disk is formatted in
NTFS format, the hard disk's full size will be
selected initially. It is recommended that you
reduce the size. If your hard disk is formatted
in FAT32 format, the max size is 4 GB.
3. In the Reserved time drop-down menu you
can select the buffer length with time shifting,
i.e. how long you can pause a programme for
without missing any of it. You can choose a
max. of 60 minutes.
NOTE: Other settings in this tab cannot be
selected as they only concern analogue TV
reception.

6.5 Schedule
Here you have the option to programme future
recordings.

6.5.1 Find the programme in the programme
icon.
1. Click "EPG". You will now see a programme
listing for the current channel.
2. Select the programme you want to record.
Select "Add to schedule".
3. Click "OK".
