Connect the Producer III cables (6100)
a.
Connect the power cord from the Producer III to the power outlet.
b.
Connect the USB cable from the Producer III to the external control
center.

Connect the power cord from the Producer III to the power outlet.
b.
Connect the USB cable from the Producer III to the external control

c.
Connect the FireWire cables
(Qty. 2 or 4) from the Producer III to the external control center.
Note: The 7100 has 2 FireWire cables, and the 8100 has 4
FireWire cables.

Power on the Producer III
a.
Press the power switch on the back of the
Producer III.
b.
Power on the external control center (PC).
The system powers on and the autoloader and printer
begin the initialization process.
Note: Initialization may take up to 5 minutes.

Install the Rimage software (6100 only)

Important! You must have administrative privileges to install the software
on the PC.
Note: If you received a control center (PC) with your system, you do not
need to install the Rimage software. The software is already installed.
a.
Place the Rimage software disc in the disc drive on the PC.
Note: If the software installation does not start automatically, select
Run from the Windows Start menu and browse to the setup.exe
file on the software disc.
b.
Follow the on screen prompts to complete the software installation.

Install the printer driver (Everest only)
The printer driver installs automatically.
Note: If the New Hardware Wizard displays, follow the prompts to complete
the Wizard and install the Everest printer.

Activate the Rimage software (for software version
8.1 or lower only)
You have 30 days to activate your Rimage software. Until your software
is activated, you will be prompted to do so each time you use the Rimage
software. When the activation dialog displays, select an option and follow the
on screen prompts to activate your software.
Note: Activation is only required if you are installing Rimage software
version 8.1 or lower. Product registration for systems using Rimage
software version 8.2 and higher is now managed through the Rimage
website at

Test and verify
Power Switch
Use QuickDisc to run a 3-disc test job to verify that the system is operating
correctly. Refer to the Getting started with Rimage Software document.
Note: If the disc is not centered on the printer tray, or there are clamping
errors, refer to the Align the Printer instructions found in the Rimage Producer
III and Producer IIIN User Guide.
