Operating Your Bath
Operating the Bath
If you are like most people who install a Kohler bath, you can't wait to get in and try it out. You'll soon find that
the features and controls of your bath are very simple to use, and offer you a safe and totally relaxing personal
care experience. Please spend a few minutes with these simple operating instructions and then you'll be ready to
go.
S Remove all loose bathing items, such as soap bars, shampoo bottles, and washcloth from inside the unit.
S Don't use excessive amounts of soap or shampoo while you are operating the your bath. Of course, you can
freely use shampoo and soap for showering before you fill the unit.
Close the drain.
NOTE
The water temperature in your bath should not exceed 104_F (40_C) or the heater will not operate.
:
NOTE
The inline heater will help maintain the temperature of the water while your overflowing bath is running.
:
Always fill the unit with water tempered to your desire and comfort level.
Adjust the fill spout water to a level 4" (10.2cm) below the overflow rim.
IMPORTANT! Like any other bath, prevent flooding to the area around the unit by entering the filled bathing
well slowly. This will allow the system to properly drain the excess water.
NOTE
Exercise caution if you walk or move around in the bathing well. Plastic surfaces are inherently slippery
:
when wet.
Slowly enter the bathing well, then press the On/Off" control switch to start the pump/motor and begin operation. An
orange light in the On/Off control switch will temporarily turn on to indicate the start of the operating mode. As the
pump/motor turns on and water begins to circulate, the light will change to solid green, and will stay on as long as the
unit is running.
The in line heater turns on automatically, and will continue to work as long as your bath is running.
Press the On/Off" control switch again to turn off the overflowing bath. The orange light in the On/Off" control
switch will temporarily turn on to indicate the end of the operating mode. The green light in the On/Off" control switch
will then start to blink automatically until the unit is drained or restarted.
NOTE
A built in timer automatically stops the bath after approximately 20 minutes of operation.
:
Operating the Chromatherapy Lights (if applicable)
The submerged chromatherapy lights automatically turn on in the stationary setting when you start the bath.
Press the Lights control switch (located on the opposite side of the pump control) once and the submerged
chromatherapy lights will slowly cycle through the color spectrum (sweep mode).
The light control switch pulses blue for five seconds at the start of the sweep mode. Press the Lights control switch again
to lock the chromatherapy lights in a particular color.
The light control switch is a constant blue in this mode. Press the Lights control switch a third time to turn off the
submerged chromatherapy lights.
When restarting the pump the submerged chromatherapy lights will turn back on.
The chromatherapy lights may be turned on when the pump is off. Turning on the pump when the lights are operating
will not affect the lights.
Care and Cleaning Instructions
Cleaning the Surface of Your Bath
Do not use abrasive cleansers or solvents on gel coat surfaces.
Wipe out your acrylic bath with a soft cloth after each use to prevent a build up of soap and scum. If the surface
gets excessively dirty you can use a general purpose cleaner such as: Scrub Freer Soap Scum Remover, 409r All
Purpose, Mr. Cleanr Lemon Fresh, Glass Plusr, or Fantastikr. You can also use an automotive type polishing
compound, followed by an application of good quality paste wax.
Avoid cleaning products that contain the following chemicals, as they will damage the finish of your acrylic bath:
acetone, ethyl alcohol, amyl or ethyl acetate, sodium hypochlorite, toluene, or phenol.
Extreme heat such as that generated by cigarettes or portable heaters can damage gel coat surfaces; do not use
such items near your bath.
