The device is part of a welding, cutting and grinding system. Welding fumes, which are hazardous to health,
are generated during welding and grinding, and during laser and plasma cutting. The fumes are filtered and
cleaned by the filters inside the device. Welding fumes are extracted through an extraction hood and hose
system and then forced through filter elements. The standard configuration of the device has a pre-filter and
a primary filter. The pre-filter removes coarse dirt particles from the extracted welding fumes. Fine dirt
particles are removed by the primary filter. The dirt particles adhere to the surface of the filter material, which
causes the intake pressure on the fan to increase. The cleaned air is then returned via an air exhaust louver.
The device can be operated with a flexible extraction arm with a length of 2, 3, or 4 meters.
The device corresponds to the welding fume separation class H13.
