Special safety instructions regarding this unit
Caution: Risk of injury!
Dust contains quartz
Blast only with perfectly working and switched on suction extraction system! Otherwise there is a risk of
harmful effects from quartz-containing dust. If a laboratory extractor is to be used, its suitability must be
assessed by qualified personnel.
Wear a breathing mask* when working. In case of insufficient extraction, there is a considerable health
hazard due to dust containing quartz.
Wear a breathing mask* for all work in which embedding material dust may be released (e.g. filling and
emptying the machine). Otherwise there is a considerable health hazard due to dust containing quartz.
The sandblasting material is under pressure
Only carry out blasting inside the blasting chamber and with the window closed. Otherwise there is a risk
of injury caused by blasting material. Switch off the unit before opening the window.
Wear protective glasses when working. Otherwise there is a danger of injury due to accidental triggering
of the sandblaster when the window is open.
Safety
Faulty lamps in the blasting chamber must only be replaced with original BEGO spare parts. Otherwise,
injuries (burns) and damage to the equipment are possible. We shall not be liable for any damage
resulting from improper use.
Only use BEGO plug-in mains units. With other mains units there is a danger of injury (electric shock)
and damage to the equipment. The plug-in mains unit must be easily accessible and must not be covered
(danger of heat build-up).
The machine has been developed for a service life of 10 years from the date of manufacture. No liability
will be accepted for damage due to operation beyond this period.
The blasting material must be removed from the machine before transport.
* Breathing protection mask: Full-face or half mask with particle filter P2 or P3 (EN 14387).
