the sterndrive to trim up and cause the bow of the boat to
raise out of the water while under-way.
Trim — down: Pressing downward on the trim switch will
cause the sterndrive to lower and lower the bow of the
boat while underway.

Maintenance
Corrosion protection:
For maximum protection in saltwater areas, wipe all metal
parts such as screw heads, cable sleeves, etc., with Volvo
Penta DuraPlus™ Corrosion Shield. Chrome plated hand
levers and control levers should be washed with fresh
water and waxed regularly.
Mechanical performance:
Perodically check the control mechanism for loose
fasteners and signs of wear in moving parts. Lubricate all
moving parts with Volvo Penta water-resistant grease.
Replace any faulty parts as required.
Electrical preformance:
Perodically check the switches for proper operation. Make
sure there is no looseness felt in the trim or override
switches. Replace any faulty switches as required.
Perodically check the wiring for abrasion and security that
may cause a short or open circuit.
