1. Unpacking and assembly
Owing to packaging design considerations, the unit is shipped
only partially assembled. To assemble the unit, perform the
following steps in the sequence indicated:
A Assembling outrigger broom. Place drive disc and broom on
broom drive shaft and secure with flat washer and hex nut.
Caution: Drive pins in the broom base must engage in
drive disc.
Installing and Changing the Battery
– Fill battery with acid (see safety instructions and battery
manufacturer's information).
– Screw out screws from the protective cover and remove it.
– Unscrew battery bracket and insert battery, then secure
with bracket.
Note: Ventilator wheel must not touch any components
(i.e., cables), and cables must not project from unit.
B On the factory-packed unit, the push hand-
le is folded down. Mount securely, using
supplied nuts and bolts.
Caution: After mounting the push handle,
make sure that the unit main switch is in
the OFF position (white marking is visible).

Connect battery cables to battery posts.
Note:

2. Operation
A Switch the unit ON by pressing the
unit main switch.
Press once – motor ON
Press twice – motor OFF
Note: The switch serves also as overload
protection. If it switches off, this is due to raised power
consumption. Wait at least 3 minutes and rectify the cause,
e.g. tangled cords, before switching on again.
