STEPS FOR INSTALLATION AND START-UP OF AC PLUS

We will now describe the steps to follow for installation and start-up of the AC PLUS
access control system.
1.- Install and configure the address of the AC PLUS Central Unit.
Configure the address of each central unit by means of dipswitch SW2.
The central units are codified with addresses form 0 to 63.
The following sections describe in detail each one of the elements of the central unit.
2.- Wire readers and configure their addresses.
The addresses of the readers (door controller or controller with integrated reader) are
configured by means of the microswitches on each one of them.
The readers connected to each central unit are codified with addresses from 0 to 31.
If there is a Call Reception Centre in the installation, the address "0" is reserved for
this.
To avoid future modifications in the configuration of the readers, it is recommended
that you do not use the address "0" for the readers.
3.- Wire the Call Reception Centre.
If there is a call reception centre in the installation (to equip the system with
intercommunication), cable it to the "Panel 0" connector of the AC PLUS central unit.
The call reception centre has address 0 on the readers' busbar.
4.- Wire and program decoders (relays, sensors and/or panels).
If decoders are used in the installation, program the address and parameters of each
decoder output using the Decowin application.
To program the decoders connected to the AC PLUS central unit, the central unit must
be put into maintenance mode (dip-switch 2 of SW1 in "ON" position).
Once the decoders have been programmed, deactivate maintenance mode.
5.- Configure the installation (program the central unit(s)).
By means of the AC PLUS Server application (available in www.fermax.com), all the
elements of the installation are programmed and configured (see the manual of the
application).
The server application makes it possible to carry out a Test of the devices installed.
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS IN AC PLUS INSTALLATIONS
In AC PLUS systems, the installation of standard-functioning door-openers is
recommended. Do not install automatic-functioning door-openers, to avoid the door-opener
remaining activated indefinitely, after activation, until the door is opened.
