1. Description
The MDS-DIGITAL System has been designed in order to make easy the
most complex project of Audio & Video Door Entry Systems. Installation between
floors is by means of an unique MDS BUS cable, which is also provided by
FERMAX. This MDS BUS cable links all the neded Decoders with the Central
Unit. Telephones are connected to the Decoders, included call wire, therefore
now it is not necessary to install call wires from telephones down to central unit
or push-button panel.
Installation and programming has being simplified respect to the tradi-
tional systems. It can be programmed from any Outdoor Key Panel With Display.
It can also be programmed by means of a PC (IBM compatible Personal
Computer). The appropriate software, running under Microsoft Windows, is in-
cluded. It is possible to connect the PC to program the system to any Decoder,
as well as to the Central Unit.
The MDS-DIGITAL System will always give total privacy (Only the called
tenant can speak and open the door).
The Central Unit is supplied in a plastic (IP-65 protection) box with key, in
order to protect it against manipulations by non authorized personnel.

* Up to 10.000 apartments with or without panic alarm.
* Up to 32 panels (audio/video/Guard Unit/Access Control).
* 1.000 detector zones (fire/smoke/gas).
* 1.000 relay activators (sirens/lighting/activity scheduler).
* Several Guard Units with transfer.
* Up to 100 linked Central Unit (1.000.000 tenants).
* Management: throuhg PC, Panel, Guard Unit or remotely by modem.
* Incidences registration: Door opening, calls, alarm activity, intrussions.
* User register information: Name, Floor, apartment, Personal Code, Group.
* Group information:valid access, valid days, time.
* Internal battery for time and date storage (One month without power supply).
* Integral testing: Decoder test, Panels tests and Terminal tests.
