6. Power on the Central Unit
Power on the Central Unit only when all the other components have
been installed and the installation has been checked.
The starting process while the Central Unit is powered on is:
* The POWER led is on.
* RPX and TPX led start blinking rapidly, meaning that system is checking
panels installation and detecting how many panels are installed. This information
is shown on the display on the panels.
* RDX and TDX led blinks for a short while, meaning that system is check-
ing decoder installations.
After that, all leds go off (except the POWER one). It does no matter if X or
Y led are ON, it means that Guard Unit or Panic Unit are activated. Also RPX and
TPX blinks each time that there is a display change (every 2 seconds aproximatelly).
6.1 Troubleshooting
* Communications between Central Unit and one or more panels is not
possible
Be sure there are NO panels with the same assigned number. See Panels
Manual to know the way to assign the Panel number.
Check that all panels are acknowledged by the system: at the moment the
Central Unit is powered on, displays in Outdoor Panels show wich panels are
connected, and the type of each one (Guard Unit, reader type, etc.).
If installation has Guard Unit, and it is activated, it will emit warning beeps,
while a message is shown on the display, when a panel has no communication
with Central Unit.
* The system is blocked. Panels do not communicate with the Central
Unit
Press any button in the Panel (except 0) and check that RPX led blinks. If not,
check wiring installation between Panel and Central Unit.
* There is no call to apartamentes
Check if any of RDX, TDX is on. If yes, restart the system. If any of these led is
still on, check decoder installation. Check that Decoders are powered (led in
Decoders blink).
* The 0.5 A fuse blowns down
Check that Power Supply wires are correctly connected (not inverted). Re-
placed fuse shall be the same type than the original.
* POWER led is off (or blinking)
Check fuse. Also check input voltage. It shall be between 12 to 13,5 V. If not,
check Power Supply installation.
