WET/DRY GRINDER

BENCH GRINDERS
A lways wear safety goggles while grinding.
K eep children out of the work area.
N ever operate the grinder without the wheel guard
in place.
A lways securely fix the workpiece support.
T he distance between the spark guard and
the grinding wheel must not exceed 2 mm.
T he distance between the workpiece support and
the grinding wheel must not exceed 2 mm.
N ever use damaged grinding wheels.
R eplace the grinding wheel when it has worn by
more than approx. 40 mm.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Always check that the power supply corresponds to
the voltage on the rating plate.
DESCRIPTION
Your wet/dry grinder has been designed for
sharpening knives, chisels and other cutting tools.

MOUNTING THE MACHINE
The machine must be screwed to a workbench.
M ark the position of the mounting holes (8)
on the workbench.
D rill holes at each of the marked positions,
adjusting the diameter and depth of the holes to the
screws used.
P lace the machine on the workbench and insert
the screws into the mounting holes.
F irmly tighten the screws.
REPLACING A GRINDING WHEEL
To replace the dry grinding wheel, proceed as
follows:
R emove the wheel guard (3).
L oosen the nut (11).
R emove the outer flange (12) and the old grinding
wheel (2).
C lean the flanges (12 & 13).
P lace a new grinding wheel.
P lace the outer flange against the grinding
wheel and place the nut onto the spindle.
Securely tighten the nut.
R eplace the wheel guard.
To replace the wet grinding wheel, proceed as
follows:
R emove the water reservoir (10).
L oosen the nut (15).
R emove the outer flange (16) and the old grinding
wheel (9).
C lean the flanges (16 & 17).
P lace a new grinding wheel.
P lace the outer flange against the grinding wheel
and place the nut onto the spindle.
Securely tighten the nut.
R eplace the water reservoir.
Always unplug the tool before replacing a
grinding wheel.
Never use a cracked grinding wheel.
Immediately replace a cracked grinding wheel.
A cracked grinding wheel may break into pieces
when used and cause accidents.
MOUNTING AND ADJUSTING THE SPARK
GUARD
The spark guard needs regular adjustment in order
to compensate the wear of the grinding wheel.
L oosen the nut (19) and remove the screw (18).
H old the spark guard (4) against the wheel guard
(3) as shown.
M ount the spark guard (4) to the wheel guard (3)
using the nut (19) and the screw (18).
A djust the distance between the spark guard and
the grinding wheel (2) to the smallest possible
value, with a maximum of 2 mm.
T ighten the spark guard.
S lide the screen (5) to the front.
T ighten the nut (20).
The spark guard protects your eyes and
hands from sparks flying from the
workpiece.
Therefore, always use the spark guard.
ADJUSTING THE WORKPIECE SUPPORT
The workpiece support needs regular adjustment in
order to compensate the wear of the grinding wheel.
L oosen the adjusting screw (7).
A djust the distance between the
workpiece support (6) and the grinding
wheel (2) to the smallest possible value, with a
maximum of 2 mm.
T ighten the adjusting screw.
