5. Route the RED/WHITE wire ex-
tension and split loom (from cab
switch) through the grommet on
rear wall of pump box (FIG. 9-1).
Next, cut off enough split loom to
get access to the wire. Then cut
the RED/WHITE wire to a length
that prevents strain on wiring con-
nections.
6. Strip insulation from the RED/
WHITE wire to install female
bullet terminal (Kit item). Then,
crimp the female bullet on the
wire (FIG. 9-1).
7. Connect the female bullet on RED/
WHITE wire to male bullet on the
RED wire (FIG. 9-1). Use plastic
tie (Kit item) to secure split loom
(RED/WHITE wire) to wiring har-
ness in the pump assembly.
CAUTION
Pump cover must be correctly secured
to prevent it from becoming a hazard.
8. Reinstall and latch the pump cover
as shown in FIG. 9-2.
